Voiceovers And Denver Comic Con – The Not Silent Blog 6/21/16
Denver Comic Con.
Holy Crazy Awesome Geekfest, Batman!
For three days we promoted our comic book Agent 1.22 to the masses, and what a massive amount of masses it was. Over 100,000 people showed up and it was insane in a great way.

One of the many amazing cos-players
(FYI that’s Nightcrawler from the X-Men).
I even ran into one of my voiceover clients!
Some fellow voice talents came into town just to hang out with us.
Fellow voice talent Rhonda Phillips popped in to visit our table!
We had an incredible time and met lots of wonderful people there. It was a big success and we definitely plan on coming back next year.
TIP OF THE WEEK
How does my trip to Denver Comic Con relate to voiceovers? In many ways, actually. Our goal for Denver Comic Con was to create brand awareness for what we feel is a great product that will have mass appeal. We did that by attending an event, developing meaningful relationships with potential clients (comic book fans as a well as fellow artists), and using Real Time Marketing via social media to engage with our existing fans both at the event and abroad.
As voice talents, creating brand awareness is critical. Attending events where there are potential clients and contributing to the voiceover community is a great way to do that. Advertising your VO brand in an engaging, consistent manner via social media is a formula for success.
Whether it’s comic books or voiceovers, putting yourself out there in a positive a light as possible is key!
