Giving back is everything.
Over the years I’ve talked about the importance of giving back to your industry. Donating your time, sharing your experience to aspirants, or just being there for someone who is struggling.
I am proud to say that I have been given yet another “giving back” opportunity. I will be speaking at VO Atlanta 2016!
VO Atlanta will be held in Atlanta, Georgia (shocker!) from Thursday March 3rd to Sunday March 6th. Click on the logo above to learn more about the conference. You can also check out the Facebook Event Page.
I am honored to be included among some killer speakers. Not all of them have been announced yet but I understand the lineup will pretty darn impressive.
I’ll be doing a seminar on how to run your voiceover business and I’ll also be part of a panel. I’ll give you the details when they become available.
A big thanks to Gerald Griffith for asking me to be a part of the fun!
TIP OF THE WEEK
I’ve been told by aspiring voice talents they have nothing to give back because they don’t have enough experience. Not true! All of you have skill sets from school or previous careers that make you unique. When you go to your next conference or networking event, go with the mentality of giving back as a person, not as a voice talent. Approach new people and start conversations that having nothing to do with the voiceover industry. Strive to connect with others as a fellow human being. I guarantee you have something to offer!
HAPPY HAPPYS!
Happy Candy Corn Day and Howl at the Moon Day! I love candy corn. Makes me wanna howl at the moon when I eat it. Is that weird…?
