…and just like that, the holidays season is upon us!
This is the time of year where everyone is Nutsy Fagan with shopping, trip planning, dinner planning, gift wrapping, tree trimming, party going, and other miscellaneous craziness. We’re so busy getting stuff done that we don’t get anything done.
Despite all the distractions, I think this time of year is especially important because now is when you start should setting personal & professional goals for next year. I know it’s not easy, but it’s critical for setting you up for success in 2016. How do you find the time? What questions should you be asking yourself?
TIP OF THE WEEK
I do my best thinking when I’m walking, commuting (for me it’s usually via driving or a bus to/from NYC), or just before I go to sleep. I take notes in my phone using Google Keep which is great because it’s cloud-based and I can call it up on my tablet or desktop. Other opportunities to put your thinking cap on include doing laundry, shoveling snow, cooking dinner, and grocery shopping.
What questions should you ask yourself? Without going into severe detail:
Who do I want to be in 2016?
What do I need to do to be who I want to be?
What stopped me from achieving my goals in 2015? Lack of money? Lack of will? Lack of a tangible, actionable plan?
If you need help, let me know. I’ve got some slots left in December if you want to do a VO Strategist session and my next Edge Studio “Business and Money 201” webinar will be Thursday, December 10th @8PM EST. There we’ll talk about how to write your Mission Statement, Annual Goals, and Monthly Action Plans for 2016. Click here to sign up.
